Not one Catholic... Not one Orthodox... Not one Lutheran... Not one Presbyterian... and I don't believe I saw an Anglican either. Boy they really cover ALL of Christianity don't they. An article for the celebration of disunity.
There are two Catholics in the list. The senator from Kansas I believe is a Catholic. So is #49.
I'm at a loss to understand the rationale for this list. For instance, why is President Bush listed? And if President Bush, why not Ted Kennedy or Nancy Pelosi? (They're Catholic, right?) Arguably, since Bush is the president of the most powerful nation on earth he should be the #1 most influential Christian, right?
I thought the change in format was easier on the eyes. But, yes, I like the old format better. We'll give it a week or so and see how it goes.
My point is being lost by me not being thorough. My point is, this is not main stream. These people are mainly independent, Bible Church people not tied down with any affliations whatsoever, so they are able to in a sense, "be their own man."
What happened to the nice look of your blog? I liked the older look much better!
ReplyDeleteI agree about the list--scary!
I am surprised by number 49 although he is certainly one of the more media savvy prelates.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree about the blog format. It looked better before.

ReplyDeleteAnd the old format looked better. If you don't go back to it, I'm going to steal it.

ReplyDeleteIt is sad.
